Our company, Global Apostille, can handle the authentication of your school diploma or any other academic documents you may need. If you plan to study or work abroad and have completed high school, trade school, college, or university in the United States, the destination country may require authentication of your US-issued academic records by the school Registrar before processing the apostille. Apostilles are required for countries that are members of The Hague Convention, while legalization or Great Seal is usually necessary for non-member countries.
To authenticate your diploma by the school, contact your School's Registrar's Office and inform them that you need an original or color copy of your diploma to be signed and notarized. If the school takes a long time to issue a certified copy, consider sending them your original diploma to expedite the process. Don't forget to include a self-addressed return envelope with sufficient postage for the school to send your diploma back to you. You can also order a new diploma from the school if you can't find the original or need it for other purposes.
Most schools have an in-house public notary. If your school lacks a notary on staff, arrange for a mobile notary to visit your school and meet with the Registrar at a convenient time. The notary must adhere to the notarial laws of their state for the State office to authenticate your diploma. Since most notaries are not experts in authenticating diplomas for other countries, it's best to entrust the apostille process to professionals like us.
After receiving your notarized diploma, carefully inspect it to ensure proper signing and notarization. Confirm that your document features the original signature and printed name of the Registrar, the notary's name, notary's signature, date of notarization, notarial affidavit, and seal. Some schools sign and notarize the back of the diploma, while others have enough space on the front. Lastly, send your documents to our office for apostille processing.
