Permission to Travel Apostille

Do you need to apostille Permission to Travel Letter?

At Global Apostille, we make obtaining an apostille on Permission to Travel Letter (also called Travel Consent Letter) easy and stress-free. We apostille Travel Consent Letters notarized in all of 50 States and the District of Columbia (Washington DC).

The Permission to Travel letter is required if your minor child travels internationally with only one parent or another person (grandparents, older siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.). A sample of the travel consent letter can be provided by the airline, your travel agent, or found online.

Essentially, in this letter, you as a parent permit one or more people to take your child or children outside of the US.  The letter should include the following information: dates of travel, the full name and passport details of a consenting parent, the full names and passport details of the child and the person accompanying the child on this trip, the country of destination.  We recommend putting in as much information as possible in the consent letter, including the flight details.

The travel consent letter must be signed by the person giving permission and notarized.  If both parents or legal custodians are giving permission to a minor child to travel outside of the USA, then both should sign it and their signatures must be notarized. You can then mail to our office the original notarized consent letter for processing the apostille.  When choosing a notary public, we recommend that you select a notary with at least five years of experience and thorough knowledge of the notarial laws of their state.  Incorrectly notarized travel consent letters will not be accepted by the State, resulting in travel delays and unplanned expenses.

Obtaining an apostille can be intricate. Avoid leaving this task for inexperienced staff or non-professionals who are not fully aware of the complexities of the apostille process and the unique requirements of certain countries. Your application may be rejected, and you lose time and money. Make a better choice!

Our experts are available Monday through Friday from 10.00 AM to 6.00 PM. Please call us at 1-770-447-0360 and we will answer all your questions and offer easy to follow detailed instructions.
