When an apostille is required on a Doctor’s (Medical) Letter?
If you plan to immigrate to another country, or get married, adopt, or work abroad as a healthcare worker or a teacher, you will be asked to provide an apostilled medical letter as part of your visa application portfolio. Some countries also require an apostilled negative Covid test result for entry.
How can I get an apostille on my Medical Letter?
To receive an apostille on a Medical (Doctor’s) Letter you need an original letter signed by your doctor and notarized by a notary public. If the clinic issuing your medical letter does not have a notary public on staff, you will need to arrange with the traveling notary to come to the clinic and meet with your doctor. Please, remember that an apostille is always issued by the same state where a document was notarized. So, if your medical letter was notarized in the state of Florida, it will receive an apostille from the Florida Secretary of State, or if you received a notarized medical letter in Texas, an apostille will be also processed by the State of Texas.
We can apostille medical letters, as well as other documents (including birth certificates, marriage certificates, and other vital records, college transcripts, etc.) from all fifty US states.
Obtaining an apostille on a medical letter is a complex process and should only be handled by professionals. Remember that trusting your important documents to incompetent people unfamiliar with the specifics of each country, may lead you to additional expenses, and delays of your important business by weeks, or even months. That’s why we recommend that you should let Global Apostille take care of obtaining an apostille on your medical letter.
