Apostille for Travel Consent Letter

Do you plan to travel abroad with your child or children and require an apostille on a Travel Consent Letter?

At Global Apostille, we make obtaining an apostille on your Travel Consent Letter easy and stress-free.

We obtain an apostille for travel consent letters signed and notarized in all 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Federal Government (notarized at the United States Embassy and for a foreign country). If you are heading to a country that is not a member of the Hague Apostille Convention, we are also able to apostille your travel consent letter through the United States Department of State and the Embassy or Consulate office.

If your minor child travels internationally with only one parent or another person (grandparents, older siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) you will need to obtain a travel consent letter for this trip.  A sample of the travel consent letter can be provided by the airline, your travel agent, or found online.

Essentially, in this letter, you as a parent give the permission to one or more people to take your child or children outside of the US.  For instance, the mother allows the father to take their minor child abroad.  The letter should include the following information: dates of travel, the full name and passport details of a consenting parent, the full names and passport details of the child and the person accompanying the child on this trip, the country of destination.  It’s best to put in as much information as possible in the consent letter, including the flight details.

The travel consent letter must be signed by the person giving permission and notarized.  You will also need to download our apostille order forms and mail to our office the original notarized consent letter for processing the apostille.  When choosing a notary public, we recommend that you select a notary with at least five years of experience and thorough knowledge of the notarial laws of their state.  Incorrectly notarized travel consent letters will not be accepted by the State, resulting in travel delays and unplanned expenses.

Important! We can only apostille travel consent letters signed and notarized within 50 U.S. states, District of Columbia, and the U.S. Federal Government (notarized at the USA Embassy and for a foreign country).  If your travel consent letter was signed and notarized outside of the United States, you will need to contact the appropriate competent authority to assist you in that country.

Obtaining an apostille can be intricate. Avoid leaving this task for inexperienced staff or non-professionals who are not fully aware of the complexities of the apostille process and the unique requirements of certain countries. Your application may be rejected, and you lose time and money. Make a better choice!

Our experts are available Monday through Saturday from 10.00 AM to 6.00 PM. Please call us at 1-770-447-0360 and we will answer all your questions and offer easy to follow detailed instructions.
