Certificate of Naturalization Apostille – USCIS Form G-24
Do you need to apostille your Certificate of Naturalization by the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C.?
Our office can process apostille on A Certificate of Naturalization issued by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (Homeland Security).
If a naturalized US citizen needs “authentication” of a Certificate of Naturalization by the U.S. State Department for use by foreign Governments/Embassies, USCIS is the only authority that can copy the document and certify it as a true copy. USCIS and other governments use the term “authentication” for Certified True Copies, so when you ask for your Certificate of Naturalization to be authenticated make sure you request a “Certified True Copy.”
To certify the original Certificate of Naturalization, you need to make an appointment with your local USCIS office via the InfoPass Appointment Scheduler system. You must bring an original and a copy of your document and another form of identification (a passport or a driver’s license) to your USCIS appointment. A USCIS officer will check your documents and may certify the copy if he/she can confirm your identity and your status as a naturalized citizen.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, will process Certified True Copies and give them to you along with the provided documentation. USCIS is not authorized to act as an agent of the U.S. Department of State and accept fees on behalf of other government agencies, or forward documentation to any other government agency. All documents submitted by a requester, along with documents supplied by the Department of Homeland Security, will be returned to the requester.
Obtaining an apostille can be intricate. Avoid leaving this task for inexperienced staff or non-professionals who are not fully aware of the complexities of the apostille process and the unique requirements of certain countries. Your application may be rejected, and you lose time and money. Make a better choice!
