Apostille for Diploma

Do you need to apostille your Diploma?

Are you going to work or study abroad? Has your potential foreign employer asked you for an apostilled Diploma?

For a Diploma to be apostilled, it must first be signed and notarized by the Registrar.  The Notary Public will need to meet with the Registrar at your University, College, Trade School, or High School.

We provide Apostille services for the following diplomas:

  • GED Diploma
  • High School Diploma
  • College Diploma
  • Bachelor’s Diploma
  • Master’s Diploma

To start the process, first, contact your School’s Registrar Office and let them know that you need an original or color copy of your diploma to be signed and notarized.  The Registrar office with either ask you to mail your original diploma to school or send to them a color copy by email. Some schools request that you purchase a new diploma from the school. Most schools have in-house public notary. If your school does not have a notary on staff, you can arrange for a mobile notary to come to your school and meet with the Registrar when it’s convenient for the Registrar. The notary is required to apply proper notarial laws of his/her State for the State office to authenticate your diploma.
Generally, there are a few ways for a diploma to be notarized:
1/ The Registrar attests to the diploma with a hand-written or typed declaration and the Notary witnesses the signature of the Registrar.  Here is an example of standard wording in this case: “I, William Smith, Registrar of XYZ University, certify that this is a true and original copy of Mary Williams Bachelor’s Diploma”.   Often, the notarization is done on the back of the diploma to allow space for the attestation, Registrar’s signature, and the notarization.
2/ A less frequent option when the University prepares a draft of attestation on the University letterhead with a statement and signature of the Registrar together with the Notary’s stamp, signature, and notarial affidavit.
Before requesting notarization for your diploma please check with us if you should notarize an original or a color copy of your diploma since some countries accept only the original diplomas signed and notarized.

After you get notarization for your diploma, you will need to mail your documents to our office.
